Activity Fun Days for parents and kids with a sense of adventure

School holidays can be a long time for both children and parents so why not get together a group of friends and family and book a Fun Day at Magdalen?.

Visit for a half or whole day, and choose your activity from a range of choices. Adults can be as involved as they choose, and usually end up having more fun than the children!

Our Fun Days are run by enthusiastic, experienced staff, who will make sure your children learn new skills, enjoy new experiences, get tired out, and have the time of their life!

Don’t want to wait until the school holidays? Fun Days can be booked for weekends and evenings too!

A half day Fun Day costs £150, and whole day £300, for a maximum of 15 children with at least two accompanying adults. Larger groups can be accommodated, cost available on request.

Fun Day Activity Choices.

Survival in the Wild.

Would your children like to go to the wild woods to build their own shelters, learn how to light fires without using matches and find food in the woods? Wearing their tribal war paint, children will drink nettle tea, cook delicious snacks over the camp fire and play stalking games in our magical woodland.

Become a Farmer:

Experience life as a real farmer by carrying out valuable and fun day to day jobs, like scarecrow making, walking the goats, feeding the pigs, collecting the chicken eggs, harvesting vegetables, cooking pizza in an outdoor cob oven, taste tours in the vegetable patch, sowing seeds, watering plants and even muck spreading!

Low Ropes Adventure Challenge Course:

Fearless children will love our Low Ropes Adventure Challenge, which is a series of apparatus no higher then one metre off the ground that act like puzzles to tackle. Good teamwork, thinking outside the box and agility are all vital in this exciting activity the children will be talking about it for weeks afterwards. Suitable for children ages 9 and upwards.

Tough Kids Challenge:

A series of exciting yet tricky outdoor challenges for older children (minimum age 9) to tackle on the farm and in the woods designed to push girls and boys both mentally and physically, testing survival, communication, problem solving and team building skills. After receiving instruction and safety training from Magdalen’s experienced and qualified staff in activities including bushcraft and using a map and compass, teams will compete against each other in challenges such as lighting fires from scratch, using tools to make gadgets and going orienteering.
