Step into your together life with a 'light eco-footprint' by choosing a rural farm setting at The Magdalen Project, for your special day.
This inspiring, historic venue offers you the choice of rooms for your civil ceremony from our impressive Granary with its original wooden beams and natural stone walls, to the Long Barn opening onto the central courtyard garden and our unique and intimate thatched Straw Bale Roundhouse constructed entirely from reclaimed and recycled materials. All tastefully decorated with seasonal local flowers and greenery from the Magdalen hedgerows.
The Magdalen Project and its surroundings are exclusively yours to enjoy from Friday afternoon to Sunday giving you and your guests plenty of time for relaxing and socialising.
We can sleep 36 in eight comfortably furnished bedrooms, and many more can stay on our eco campsite with composting toilets. We also offer magical accommodation for the newly weds in our beautifully decorated mini tipi situated in a secluded meadow with a stunning view across the Axe valley.
The farm offers a stunning backdrop for your photographs, including ponds, willow structures, ancient woodlands and a mile of the beautiful River Axe and floodplain.
We offer a wide choice of menu, wherever possible with organic food from the farm, from a simple buffet to a succulent Magdalen hog roast, with beautiful seasonal salads or vegetables and homemade bread rolls. Guests can even make their own pizzas in our outdoor earth oven. For dessert we can offer tasty produce from our expertly tended soft fruit garden and orchards. We can cater to all tastes and dietary needs from vegetarian to wheat free diets.
As a licensed premises we can provide wine for the tables and champagne for the toast as well as a full bar, we are proud to say that all our alcohol is organic, fairtrade or locally sourced.
Music in the evening is your choice from a ceilidh, to a band or even a disco, at the end of the evening why not unwind with your guests and discuss the days proceedings around the campfire, you could even sing a song or two.
We pride ourselves on versatility, we will do our best to make your day as perfect as possible and fulfil all your dreams whether they be of rustic simplicity or something more exotic.
Our specialist wedding organiser will be with you every step of the way.
